The Sunlight Ski Team
Youth Ski League (YSL)

Sunlight Ski Team

The Youth Ski League is tailored for racers seeking more specialized coaching and additional racing days compared to the Buddy Werner program.

The Sunlight Ski Team was established in 1972 to support the development of young athletes. By fostering confidence and discipline through training and competition, these athletes will more effectively represent themselves and their communities.

This program accommodates individuals aged 8-18 (high school seniors) and represents a higher level of skiing commitment, beginning part-time or full-time when Sunlight Mountain opens in early December and concluding in mid-April with the Loveland Derby SL races.

Athletes participate on weekends and up to two weekdays, depending on their age, focusing on SL, GS, limited SG, and SkillsQuest training.

Training programs are available in two, three, or four-day options each week.

Competitions may include select USSA SYNC events, Age Class Open races, Championships, Spring races, as well as the Roaring Fork Series and local Youth Ski League races throughout the nine-month season.

Our athletes range from those who enjoy running gates to those competing at the Rocky Mountain Division and National levels.

Schedule:

Early December through mid-April

Cost:
$1750 - 2 days per week, Saturday & Sunday

All program fees cover training at Sunlight and coaching throughout the program season.
Travel fees and Sunlight Mountain Resort pass not included in program fees.
